About 2014

Hello and happy new year!!
Let's talk about the year that is passed. For me, 2014 was one the best years yet, I've done, learned and lived incredible things and was truly happy.
For me the year started with baby steps, I discover or rediscovered myself (I'm not sure wich), learned that if it is in deed my life I should be the one in control and do stuf because I want to and enjoy it.
Anyway, the first few months were about that, and in the summer the really adverture began. Attended to 3 summer festivals (Rock in Rio, NOS Alive and SuperBock SuperRock) where I got to see the legendary Rolling Stones, two of my corrent favourite bands Imagine Dragons and Arctic Monkeys, the great Eddie Vedder and discovered a really cool singer named Jake Bug (these are just some names). Then, in Augest, went with my family (not just my parents and sister, as well as my untie and uncle, his mother and my grandmother) to Picos da Europa in Spain, we went in a 8 seat van and stayed in a little country house, it was awsome! I loved exploring all that zone with them, specially loved Bilbao were visited the Googenheim and a little seaside town, Lastres. Read my favourite book at the moment An Aboundance of Karherines by John Green.
It was a perfect summer spent with the right amount of family, friends, music and adventure.
Then, in September started the biggest and greatest adventure, ERASMUS!! Me, a friend and a friend of the previous friend moved to Salamanca, the first week was absoluted ectick looking for a apartment, getting up super early walk for miles, do phone calls, being insulted by an oldman... But in the end we finally foud one.
Then, a few weeks latter, in a salsa class, we met another portuguese girl with who we schelded a nightout (that end up just being us saying hi to her and her friend in plaza mayor to then go home because we ate too much in a ERASMUS buffet ahahah). We then met again with them and it was love at the first side, we became instant friends since then, so much so that they spend every weekend in our house and currently we're in Italy staying in a friend's of them house.
Basicly I couldn't ask for a better year and only can hope that the new one bring me so much joy as these one, although I'm a little scared, the first two months I have totally planed and specially February promeses to be awesome (we're going to Disneyland and Ruterdam) and also sad (because ERASMUS is going to end and we'll have to say at least a see you latter to our new great friends), for the rest of the year I don't know whar is gonna happen and to be honest I'm a little scared that things won't go as planed, but we'll see :)
What about you, how was your year and what do you expect from the new one?
Hope you all a great year with lots of joy, hapiness, love and adventure.

Kisses, Rita :)

Snowing Italy

Hello beautiful people!
Somehow I'm in Italy and it's snowing! What is my life?
Today I woke up and the window was white (I'm staing in an attic) and I couldn't belive it, made everybody get up and go out side to feel it and take pictures. I can't wait to go out in the street!
Italy it's so beautiful, it reminds me of old movies, I'm loving it. And with the snow it must be even more wonderful!
I'll leave a picture here that I took this morning.

Merry Christmas (it's a little late but today  I really feel like is christmas)!!

Kisses, Rita :)

And may the travels begin!!

And finally it is time!
The adventure has began, I'm currently in a bus to the aeroport of Madrid to in a few hours fly to Milan, to then go to Pavia and tomorrow go to Genova and back to Pavia in the 24th!!
The excitment is real, it's going to be weird being apart from my family for the holidays but I with friends like mine I'm sure that will be a christmas to remember for years and years to come :)

Happy holidays and I'll try to share a bit of these adventure here.
Kiss, Rita 🎄☺

The overwhelming feeling

Hello there!

I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed for some time now, and wasn’t sure of what that feeling was about, it was just there. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago, when I was buying the tickets for some trips that I realized that I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time, or even the happiest I’ve ever been!
Really can’t explain it, everything is simple great… I’m surrounded by wonderful people, leaving abroad and beautiful city, having new experiences, and I’m going to travel a lot in the next 3 months (which is one of my favourite things to do) I’m going to Pavia and Milan for Christmas and new year’s and in February  to Paris, Amsterdam and Rotterdam!!

These are all good things, too good, I’m feeling so lucky and at the same time so overwhelmed by all these… The other day I just felt like crying (curiously at the same time I realized why I was feeling so baaah, when I was buying the tickets) because I couldn’t process it. I just don’t know what I did to deserve all these goodness in my life, but really hope that the tide of good fortune has come to stay.
Not a really interesting post, I know, but felt like sharing my feelings of the moment.

Hope you enjoyed it anyway,

Kisses, Rita J

Be you

Hi everyone! J

Today I feel like giving some advice, they might not fit you and your situation right know but I hopefully I can help some of you now or in a few years you might remember these thoughts.
The thing, I mean the topic of these post, is happiness, calm down, no I have no magic spell or a perfect formula to achieve it, I do how ever have some tricks that really helped me be happier. I cannot say I’m the happiest person alive but I sure am better than a year ago, I am also not an expert in happiness, but anyways, here is my advice to all of your beautiful souls.

First, if you are not happy with something in your life change it. I know, I know, easier said than done, and don’t get me wrong, it’s REALLY not some easy breezy stuff, it’s hard but helps a lot, believe me! If you are not happy with a person, with your relationship, being a friendship or a more romantic situation, and if you’re sure you’ll be better off without them in your life just cut the strings. I don’t mean immediately stop talking to them or anything, if you see you can’t work things out, if you tried and everything is the same as before, just slowly get some space from them, get some distance. If they miss you and if you’re that important to them eventually they’ll notice it and will do something to get you back, if not, just proves you've made the right decision. If you’re not happy with your diet or your room or your style, change it, you are the only one who can give you true confidence in yourself and open your door for happiness. Be brave and change your life, the things and the persons that surround you influence and can change the way you’re felling, so surround yourself of people that help you and make you happy and things that make you happy.

Other thing you have to learn is to be yourself, know what you like and what you don’t like, what you do and what you don’t do and don’t let people influence you to do things you really don’t want. Not like if you don’t enjoy being out side, never go outside, it’s not that extreme, YOU HAVE TO SOCIALIZE SOMETIMES and be around other thing other than your computer and the internet (for more wonderful that  world is, is not real, or at least, not as real as the real one).

The ultimate idea I want to pass you is that, and I’m going to quote Zoella now, is just say yes, but know how to say no sometimes. I mean don’t lose opportunities just because it’s easier to seat back at home and be alone (I’m not promoting isolation here!) but know when you really don’t want to do something and just don’t do it, or do it the few a few times to see if you've changed and after all enjoy it.

I know these are not easy and quick steps to take, but I believe they help a lot, and always remember to take your time until you feel comfortable enough to take them because if you’re not prepare to cut someone off your life you will go back to them and feel bad again.

And if you think this is a lot of crap and it doesn't work, or just don’t like my ideas, that’s fine, we are all different human being and have different ways to see things. These are some things that helped me, I hope and would be thrilled if they help some or just one of you, but if not I’m really sorry I couldn't help.

Talk to you soon,
Kisses, Rita
